Product Description

Mannitol is colorless crystalline powder, odor free and with sweet taste, it is easily dissolved in water and slightly dissolved in ethyl alcohol. It is also an isomer of sorbitol. The hydroxyl groups on the second carbon atom of the two alcohols have different orientations. The molecular formula is C6H14O6 and the molecular weight is 182.17. Soluble in water, it is a white,  transparent solid with a sweet taste similar to sucrose.
